At the end of this October, our 4th, 5th and 6th graders have started the journey of Self-reliance Education program at Moku Farm. They were so thrilled to see the animals and crops in the field. In the following weeks, they will begin their academic study and Self-reliance Education in the following weeks.

 

每天下午，我们期待着各种实践课程：收割稻子、快乐的木工课、厨艺课、微景观、做豆腐、做饼干、自行车装卸、花种收集、喂动物、家务劳动情景教学……

Their schedule is quite busy, including feeding animals, making woodcrafts and soybean milk, exploring micro landscape, picking mushrooms and so on.

稻田里，我们挥洒着汗水才意识到什么叫“粒粒皆辛苦”；木工课上，我们重新认识了心灵手巧的自己；厨艺课，我们和锅碗瓢盆交上了朋友，不再觉得这些只是妈妈的专利；微景观课上，我们一步步完成美的构建，创造着我们自己的小小世界；磨豆浆、捞豆花、做豆腐，小小的豆子就这样在我们勤劳的双手里不断的变换着形态。

In the field, they realized why they should never waste food. In i-Wood Class, they made their wooden art work. In Cooking Class, they learned the basic cooking skills. In Micro Landscape Class, they created a new world of their own. 

 

秋日的牧场、金色的童年交相辉映，奏响丰收的乐章。养活教育让孩子们懂得，付出就会有收获、生活充满美好的希望。

All students had a good time on the farm in the fall season. Our Self-reliance Education program seeks to enable our students to achieve future success through managing household chores and honing their hands-on skills.
