2019年5月9日，苏州工业园区外国语学校小学部举行第八届“我运动，我精彩”趣味运动会。
SIPFLS Primary Division Theme Sports Meeting was held successfully on May 9, 2019.
本次运动会的会徽由小学部全体师生共同参与设计，通过网络投票，最终钱奕舟同学的作品从36幅作品中脱颖而出。
The emblem of the games was designed by all the teachers and students of Primary Division, and voted via the Internet. And finally Qian Yizhou’s work emerged as the best one among the 36 works.
激动人心的开幕式开始了！四、五年级同学为大家带来的集体舞表演点燃全场。
The exciting opening ceremony starts! Performance of Grade 4 & 5 students put the ceremony into a new high!
迎面走来的特色体育方阵向观众们展示了特色体育课程的阶段性成果。
The Featured P.E. procession demonstrated the staged achievements we have made.
园外不断探索有效的教育，总结发现，养活教育和体能训练是影响学生学习，身心健康的主要因素。校领导经过多次出国考察国际顶尖学校的教学，结合本校这几年的探索实践，在小学部增设了“特色体育”课程。
In recent years, we have been exploring effective education and found that self-support education and physical training are the main factors of influencing students’ study. Having visited many international top schools, we offer featured P.E. curriculum for students this term to provide more professional, systematic and scientific sports training for them.

集体项目的比拼中，大家齐心协力为班级争光。
单项赛上，同学们打破了多项赛会记录。
In the individual event, the athletes’ performance was excellent, breaking a number of competition records.
同学们在运动会上的优秀表现和园外一向重视学生的运动健康是分不开的。在园外，体育选修课包括足球、篮球、击剑、跆拳道、射箭、啦啦操在内的十多门课程。园外的学生几乎每天都要上一节体育课，这样的课程占比，在苏州甚至是全国的学校来说是都是非常少见的。
Their excellent performance in the sports meeting is due to the importance we’ve attached to students’ sports and health. We offer football, basketball, fencing, taekwondo, archery and cheerleading curriculums. Students have to attend at least one P.E. class every day, which is very rare in other International schools in Suzhou, even in China.
