返璞归真,尽享田园诗情——记国际小学部三至六年级养活教育(牧谷)基地实践活动
晨风和雨柔,喜鹊踏枝早。4月15日,苏州工业园区外国语学校国际小学部三至六年级的同学们迎来了7-14天的养活教育(牧谷)基地实践活动。这是国际小学部的同学们第二次奔赴养活教育基地,让我们来看看经过一学期的历练,同学们的进步和成长吧。
On April 15th, students of Grade 3 –6 of Primary Division arrived at Moku Farm for 7-14 days of practical activity. This was their second time to come to the farm. Let’s have a look at the progress they’ve made in the past semester.

农耕课已然成为基地同学们最期待的课程。同学们热爱自然,他们细心观察体验植物成长的过程;和老师们一起种植玉米;体验立体蔬菜栽培;练习割草,并给小动物们投喂食物。同学们在大自然中学会观察,在劳动中学会珍惜和感恩。
Farming class has become the most anticipating course for students. They love nature and observe the process of plants growth carefully; planting corns with teachers; experiencing vegetable cultivation; practicing cutting grasses and feeding the little animals. They learned how to observe and how to cherish and express gratitude through hard work.





亲手制作豆浆、豆腐花是本期养活教育(牧谷)基地实践活动的特色课程。同学们在基地老师的指导下,制作传统老工艺豆腐花,白嫩细腻,味香可口。喝一口自己亲手制做的鲜豆浆,尝尝美味的豆腐花,同学们体验了劳动的成就感。
Making soybean milk and bean curd is the featured course of Moku Farm. Instructed by the teachers, students tasted the soybean milk they’ve made by themselves and experienced the sense of achievement of hard work.





除了文化课外,基地的课程丰富多彩。同学们学习插花、香事、茶艺,感受传统文化的魅力;他们烹制西点和中餐,展示厨艺;同时还在乐木课堂上把自己的创意变成现实。他们从学中做,从做中学,在实践中感悟养活教育思想的真谛。
In addition to cultural courses, we offer a diversity of colorful courses on the farm. Studying flower arrangement, incense lore and tea ceremony, they experienced the charm of traditional culture. They cooked western and Chinese food to demonstrate their cooking skills. In Iwood Class,they took advantage of their creativity to make their dreams come true. In a word, they have understood the true meaning of self-support education philosophy.





结营仪式上,孩子们自导自演,台上的孩子们认真演出,台下的孩子们热情互动。笑声、掌声此起彼伏,这一刻的基地,成为了欢乐的海洋。
On the closing ceremony, their excellent performance on the stage and interaction with audience has put the ceremony to a new high. At the moment, the farm has turned into a sea of joy.
由于是第二次奔赴养活教育(牧谷)基地,所以这一次他们俨然成为了基地小主人。同学们的自理能力、自主意识都有很大的提高,无论是宿舍内务整理还是教室清洁,孩子们都做到了“当我们离开时环境比来时更美好”。
Since this was their second time to come to the farm, they have been the masters of the farm. Their self-care skills and independent consciousness has been improved. The environment when we left was much better than that when we came.




在这次实践活动中,同学们再一次感受到了劳动的美,体验劳动后的乐趣和幸福感,为家人和他人分担责任的自豪感和成就感,以及由于勤劳、肯吃苦而赢得别人尊重的满足感。
Students experienced the joy and happiness after hard work, after sharing the proudness and accomplishment of responsibility-sharing and earning others’ respect.
