生活的美，需要发现，需要分享——园外初中部美术作品展览小记
罗丹说，生活中不是缺少美，而是缺少发现。对于园外初中部的孩子们来说，他们拿起画笔，呈现他们心目中的生活世界，是发现美，也是留住美。

“Beauty is everywhere. It is not that she is lacking to our eye, but our eyes which fail to perceive her.”
For those young students from SIPFLS Junior School, they chose to use their paintbrushes to outline a beautiful world in their eyes.
这些作品主题丰富，风格多姿，描绘苏州古城的历史文化，展示这座城市的现代地标，镌刻日常生活的难忘瞬间，憧憬未来世界的无限可能。
These works varies in themes and styles. Some sketched the old Suzhou city street along the canal; some draw the modern landmarks in SIP; some preserved unforgettable moments of their daily life; and some created a fantastic picture of the future world.

美好的事物需要分享，孩子们把心爱的作品，赠送给我们的外教老师，表达善意与祝福。他们不远万里，认同园外理念，共赴教育理想，体现园外教育教学的开放性和国际化。
Beauty needs to be shared as well. Hence, our students gave these amazing to our international teachers as presents, for they travelling so far away to China. They work hard to keep in line with the educational philosophies at SIPFLS. This also can be seen as strong evidence that SIPFLS offers a dynamic international education to all its students.
通过诸多特色选修课程，让学生的兴趣自然生长，这是初中部课程设计的重要基点，也是园外文化开放多姿的具体表现。通过这些美术作品，我们看到素描、油画等艺术选修课结成果实；在孩子们的眼里，校园更美丽，生活更美好。
SIPFLS always seeks to incorporate a number of featured courses to arouse its students' interest and meet their demands. Based on this philosophy, SIPFLS Junior School has developed an international curriculum with various optional classes. Through these sketches and oil paintings, we can conclude that these courses have already motivated our students and activated their creativity. In their eyes, the campus has become more beautiful and their life more colorful.
