当数学遇上英语|融合之美——园外初中部数学组数学教学理念与实践系列之一
长期以来,苏州工业园区外国语学校初中部数学组立足课堂教学,落实数学实验,注重课程融合,进而全面带动学生积极学习数学文化,感受数学之美。他们创建的微信公众号“VOA数学”,迄今已经运营两年,更是对学生产生了广泛的影响,在校内外都颇有声誉。今天,小编带领大家深入初中数学组,游览他们的数学园林,看看有什么样的特别景致吧。
SIPFLS Junior High School Mathematics group has been focusing on teaching, mathematics experiments and curriculum integration for a long time, so as to drive students to actively learn mathematics culture and enjoy its beauty. 在课堂教学中,数学组坚持以学生为本,注重学生学习兴趣的培养,让他们形成良好的学习习惯和科学的学习方法。与此同时,将重要的数学概念和经典的数学问题,融合英语思维去认知与解答,是师生在日常课堂上的重要工作。具体地说,数学组借助数学词汇表帮助学生将专有术语记忆巩固,扫除障碍,潜移默化,实施浸润式巩固学习。数学是认识世界的方法,英语是向世界沟通的桥梁,在我们的数学课堂上,当两者完美地结合运用之时,已为学生们升入国际高中做好充分的准备。

国际数学交流是初中部落实教育教学的重要途径之一,有效培养学生的运算能力、逻辑思维能力和空间想象能力。初中部数学组组长王珍老师介绍,上述交流目前主要包括:美国数学“大联盟”竞赛、美国加州伯克利大学数学竞赛和SIPFLS“Mini Math”思维探索。
International mathematics communication is one of the important ways to carry out education in Junior High School, which effectively cultivates students' operational ability, logical thinking ability and spatial imagination ability. According to teacher Wang Zhen, the head of the mathematics group in Junior High School, the above exchanges mainly include the "American Major League Competition in Mathematics”, Mathematics competition of Berkeley University and SIPFLS Mini Math thinking exploration.
美国数学“大联盟”竞赛情况:
初赛情况:比赛时间2018年11月25日共有158名学生参加,其中初一年级61人中一等奖1名,二等奖19名,三等奖18名;初二年级62人参加一等奖4名,二等奖10名,三等奖16名;初三年级35人参加二等奖8名三等奖14名,总获奖率高达57%。
复赛情况:共有17人参加,进入美国总决赛资格的有14人,通过率高达82%。
美国总决赛时间2019年7月在美国举行,我们期待孩子们完美发挥,力擒佳绩。




美国加州伯克利大学数学竞赛情况:
中国44所国际学校520名学生参加竞赛,初中部八年级、九年级共15名学生代表参赛。其中个人中沈南同学获得全国前20%的好成绩,李明轩、王奕淳同学进入全国前26%,罗斯祺、杨亿伟、乔笙、黄赵静宜、陈奕阳进入全国前35%等,团体赛全部获得全国前40%的好成绩。

SIPFLS“Mini Math”思维探索:数学组统筹安排,相关老师分工负责,编制SIPFLS“Mini Math”思维探索竞赛试题。试题包含四大模块:数学文化,挑战思维,融合之美和走进生活。试题注重趣味、开阔、贴近学生实际和生活场景,有效吸引了学生的积极参与。
SIPFLS Mini Math thinking exploration:the mathematics group made overall arrangement and the relevant teachers were responsible to compile the contest questions, which includes math culture, challenging thinking, blending beauty and entering life and attracted students to participate actively.
