苏州工业园区外国语学校新生入学教育圆满完成

8月26日至8月29日，在苏州工业园区外国语学校焕然一新的校园里，初中部、国际高中部的初一和高一新生进行了为期四天的2019级新生入学教育。

On the renewal campus, the new students from SIPFLS Junior School and SIPFLS High School participated in the four-day Admission Education Program from August 26th to August 29th.

8月25日 报到篇 Registration

报到当天，家长们提着四天住校的行李，一直把孩子送到宿舍，才依依不舍地离开。既希望能锻炼孩子们独立生活的能力，又放不下心。许多孩子都是第一次离开家，这次入学教育，是他们的集体生活初体验。

On the registration day, many parents carried the baggage and sent their children to the dormitory. Some of them were worried, but at the same time, hoped their children could learn to be independent and self-reliant. In fact, it was the very first time for many students to leave home and stay in a dormitory. This on-campus program was also their first experience of group life.

班会上，大家第一次见到了即将相伴三年的同学们，认真了解入学教育的注意事项，领到了帅气的迷彩服，准备迎接全新挑战。

At the class meeting, all the new students met each other for the first time. They read the precautions carefully, preparing for upcoming challenges in the training.

8月26日-8月29日 训练篇 Training Session

8月末，“秋老虎”威力犹存，来看看同学们在操场上刻苦训练的身姿吧！

Though it was the end of August, the weather still seemed hot and humid. Now, let's take a look at the students' hard training on the playground!

炎炎烈日下，原本白皙的肤色日益加深，孩子们的动作也从一开始的青涩笨拙，变得规范利落、游刃有余。在“苦其心志，劳其筋骨”的过程中，同学们不叫苦，不叫累，专注做好每一个动作，严格遵守纪律，服从命令，听从指挥，磨砺出顽强的意志。

All the new students were roasting under the scorching sun. Their original fair skin was getting darker and darker, but their movements became more standardized. After four days, these young could already march in uniform steps. No pains, No gains. They knew it, so they never complained. They just paid attention to every movement and followed the instructions. Not surprisingly, the training has greatly enhanced their physical and mental endurance.

8月30日汇报篇 The Ceremony

四天时间, 同学们从整理内务开始，践行“养活教育”，在教官的指导下，把被子叠成了“豆腐块”，宿舍被收拾得干净整洁，充分证明了孩子们有足够的能力把生活安排得井井有条。

Within these four days, all students were required to learn to do the chores and make their room cozy and tidy. Indeed, Self-reliance Education starts from organizing your dormitory. Under the guidance of the instructors, these young students have already mastered how to make bed. The dormitory was clean and tidy, which fully proved that they could be well organized and self-reliant.

训练标兵表彰 Training Excellence Award

在入学教育的训练过程中，涌现出不少优秀学员和团队，他们遵守纪律，刻苦顽强，不惧挑战，培养了出色的团队意识。“训练标兵”们从校领导手中接过这份荣誉，并将在今后的学习生活中继续发扬吃苦耐劳的优秀品质，让“养活教育”成为生活的一部分。

During the Program, all the new students have followed the instructions and did not fear any pains or hardship. They were good team players, and have completed the training tasks successfully. They have learned a lot from their instructors and many of them have done a great job! Some award-winning students have received awards, and we believe they will continue to maintain the good quality in future, and integrate Self-reliance Education as part of their life.

新生入学教育教官代表张震高度评价了园外学子们的表现，他被孩子们坚忍不拔的精神所感动，与同学们结下了深厚的友谊，并寄语孩子们：“吃苦不是时尚，需要用汗水和毅力去交换，其实吃苦能给你们留下无尽的财富，和敢于战胜困难的勇气！”

Instructor Zhang highly recommended the excellent performance of these young students and was impressed by their strength and perseverance. He said, “Hardship can never be fashion, however, it can leave you endless wealth and courage to overcome obstacles!

Mr. Pan Xin, the Executive Principal of SIPFLS, delivered a speech to all the new students, encouraging them to maintain the tenacious spirit, make persistent efforts and create new records in future.
