阳春三月，应美国迈阿密Biltmore school邀请，苏州工业园区外国语学校国际小学部、国际初中部的师生们再次奔赴美国迈阿密，展开为期一个月交流学习。
This March, invited by The Biltmore School, teachers and students of Primary Division and Junior High School paid a visit to Miami for their one-month study.

独自远行 感悟成长真谛

I did many kinds of afterschool activities here and I enjoyed them a lot. I also made new friends called Victoria and Basilio. They are very nice to me and prepare lunch and snacks for me everyday. I had a great time with my host family.With their help,my English has greatly improved and I have learned more about the culture and the school lessons. I still miss the delicious food meals that host family prepared for me. Besides, I really appreciate their patience while talking with me. I hope I can stay in touch with them so that we can talk more about our different culture. It would be my unforgettable memory in my life.

This is my first time to America and it’s a challenge for me. I can do lots of outdoor activities during the daytime and have little homework every day. The Biltmore School prepares lunch for us every day and I like it so much. People here are so nice that I like them very much. At school,I enjoy the time that I stay with my classmates and teachers,all of them are kind to me,they always help me with my learning and after the class,we play together,we all have a lot of fun.

I had a great time studying in Miami and it’s an adventure for me as well. The teacher and students are very kind in the Biltmore school and we got on well with each other soon. The school arranged special lesson schedule for us and I came across some problems with Language Arts. My friend Kidu always helps me deal with them. We learnt a lot from each other. Kidu plays basketball very well and he invited me to play with him. We had fun playing and chatting together. The mother of my host family works in Miami University and she showed me around it. I think the trip to Miami is very fantastic and I want to get further study here in the future.

Biltmore School offers the best service for us and is very patient to accompany us. Although it takes only one month for exchange study, deep friendship has been established between students of two schools.

宾至如归 I feel at home!
孩子们与寄宿家庭相处了近一个月，从陌生到熟悉，孩子们在他们悉心的照顾下珍惜着在迈阿密学习生活的每一天。
最令孩子们期待的周末时光，校方和寄宿家庭为孩子们准备了丰富多彩的活动.
We have stayed with the families for nearly a month and they took good care of us so that we cherish each day in Miami. Weekend is usually a much-awaited time for students and the school has prepared a variety of colorful activities for us.

交流期间，恰逢张律回和黄云天同学生日，寄宿家庭精心准备了蛋糕和小礼物，他们在迈阿密度过了一个难忘的生日。
Huang Yuntian had an unforgettable birthday in Miami and families prepared cakes and small gifts for him.

在美国家庭，每个孩子到了适当的年龄都会自觉承担一些家务，园外的孩子们在交流期间也不忘坚持践行养活教育思想。他们走进厨房，给美国的朋友们露了一手，传播中国美食文化。同时，和寄宿家庭的小伙伴们一起做饭，洗碗，大扫除，一起分担家务，更加增进了彼此的感情。
In American families, children are volunteered to do some housework. Our students have been implementing the self-support education philosophy when they are in Miami. They enter the kitchen to make delicious food for their friends and spread Chinese traditional food culture. Meanwhile, they cook, wash dishes and clean the house with their friends, which enhanced the friendship between them.

园外的交换生们在这一个月的生活中，深刻融入了当地生活,在丰富的学习、生活交流活动中，开拓了国际视野,增长了见识,同时还锻炼了他们的生活独立性,提升了社交能力。读万卷书行万里路，园外的同学们再次走出校园，走向世界。在全球化不断深入的今天，园外始终坚持诚实、勤劳、有爱心、不走捷径的价值观。园外的同学们在交流学习期间，不但语言能力大幅提升，更近距离感受美国的历史与文化，在实践中培养自己各方面的能力，努力成为具有国际视野的博雅公民。
The exchange students have learned a lot in their one-month study and life. Exchange activities have broadened their horizon, improve their independent life skills and enhance their social competence. Read ten thousand books to travel ten thousand miles. In the ear of globalization, we adhere to the school value “honest, hard work, love for others and responsibility”. During the exchange and learning period, the students not only greatly improved their language skills, but also enjoyed the history and culture of the United States. They will work hard to strive to be liberal citizens with an international perspective.
