国际教育追梦人:继续努力奋斗，共创园外品牌——园外召开2018-2019学年第二学期新学期大会
2019年2月17日下午，苏州工业园区外国语学校召开2018-2019学年第二学期新学期教职工大会。会议由执行校长潘鑫主持与召开，带领全体教职工一同回顾了丰富多彩的寒假生活，明确了新学期工作重点，并提出了坚持不懈打造园外品牌的重要目标。
Faculty meeting for the upcoming semester is held successfully in the auditorium, Feb. 17th. With the attendance of staff and school administrators, the meeting is hosted by Executive Principal Peter Pan. Colorful winter vacation activities, key work of the new semester and the important goal of constructing school brand are introduced in his speech.
开场之前，潘校邀请幼儿园明星老师小黑带领大家跳起了热身舞蹈，学校艺术厅一下子成了欢乐的海洋。这样有趣的开始让每一位园外人都绽放了灿烂的笑容，活力满满，干劲十足。与此同时，潘校提出，园外的教职工要做一个积极向上的人，一个幸福快乐的人，同时也让别人幸福。唯有用积极的心态面对人生，在工作中努力奋斗，才能获得新的成就。园外人新学期的目标为：做国际教育的追梦人，不懈努力奋斗，共创园外品牌！
At the beginning, star teacher of International Kindergarten, Xiao Hei was invited to instruct us to dance and suddenly the auditorium was turned into the sea of joy. Everyone was full of energy because of the interesting start. Pan also required the staff to be positive and happy persons and let others be happy. Only with a positive attitude and hard-working spirit in life, can we achieve new success. The goal of the new semester is to be the dreamer of international education and strive to build SlPFLS into a prestigious school!

大会概要
寒假期间，学生们的生活和学习可谓是多姿多彩。各学部积极推行全民阅读活动，培养学生热爱阅读、探究阅读的良好习惯；积极参加全国、省市各类比赛，在地球村双语演讲比赛和星星火炬国际语言能力实践活动中均取得了优异的成绩。假期中，孩子们坚持养活教育实践，感恩家人、坚持劳动、养活自己，通过自己勤劳的双手亲身参与到生活实践中，把学到的各种技能运用到日常生活中。此外，园外校长团队赴新西兰进行了考察研学，与多所顶尖国际学校进行了深度交流，并缔结了新的姐妹学校。园外将不断加强国际交流合作，拓宽园外孩子的视野，创造更广阔的发展平台。
In the colorful winter vacation activities, students’ reading habits were cultivated; they have actively participated in all kinds of national, provincial and municipal competitions, and have made outstanding achievements in the Global Village Bilingual Speech Contest and the Xingxing Torch International Language Proficiency Practical activities. Students have been implementing self-support education philosophy and applied the skills they’ve obtained into life. In addition, school administrators paid a visit to New Zealand for investigation and research. Having further communication with many top international schools, we established new sister schools. We will continue to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, broaden the horizons of our students, and create a wider platform for development.
2019年是园外建校第八年，我们将从行、知、成三个纬度打造园外品牌，朝着一个目标：最好的学校，而奋进！重创新，抓落实；外塑形象，内强素质。一方面，我们需要切实做好教育教学工作，提升教研品质；另一方面，我们需要提升自我修养来影响学生，引领学生健康成长。认真细致、精益求精，用工匠精神打造百年园外。新的学期，我们将坚持践行养活教育，积极完善管理体系，推行以学生为中心的教学模式，不断提高教师素养，全面培养学生综合素质。我们希望每一个园外学生都要具备贵族精神、平民素养，做一个知感恩、会学习、懂生活的人。
It is the 8th year since the school was founded. On one hand, we need to work hard to improve the quality of teaching and research; on the other hand, we need to improve ourselves to influence students and instruct them to grow up healthily. In the upcoming semester, we will continue to implement self-support education philosophy, improve the management system, promote the student-centered teaching mode and constantly improve teachers’ quality. We are dedicated to nurturing our students into citizens with noble spirit and civilians’ qualities.
雄关漫道真如铁，而今迈步从头越。又到一年开学季，经过了寒假的充电休息，全体园外人整装待发，以最佳状态迎接新的挑战，用最美的笑容迎接学生返校。在园外不断发展的征途上，让我们携手共进，一同做教育的追梦人，继续不懈努力奋斗，共创园外品牌！
Getting well-prepared, all the teachers will extend warmest welcome to both new and old students. Let’s hand in hand and make constant efforts for the further development of SIPFLS!
